People and Environment

At Herma we set ourselves high standards. That’s why our team is made up of dedicated professionals focussed on ensuring your experience lives up to our aspirations.

We support our staff to develop and grow within an environment where they have a voice, feel valued, and are encouraged to constantly review and improve the way we do things.

Herma embraces business practices that respect the human and natural environment. We are committed to conducting our business in a manner
that respects and protects the quality of the environment, striving towards limiting waste emissions as well as the efficient use of resources.

We work hard across all areas of our business from sourcing materials, manufacturing processes, packaging design and waste management with the aim of minimising the impact our company has on the environment in an economically viable and sustainable way.

In 2009 we are a proud sponsor of Peter Morrison, who has ridden from Port Augusta to Darwin with the aim of raising enough money to assist
the Brunswick Special Developmental School install 2C Interactive Whiteboards in all of their classrooms.

Brunswick Special Development School is a school in Herma’s local community that caters for students with significant intellectual disability and many have additional disabilities including physical, medical,
sensory and behavioural difficulties. Over 50% of our students have
an autism diagnosis. Herma is proud to be the principal sponsor of
this worthy cause.

In 2009 Herma contributed to the Black Saturday Bushfire Appeal and the Wildlife Victoria Bushfire Appeal - we continue to support various organsiations such as the Wilderness Society, Greenfleet and numerous community based charities.
